This gallery is from pictures taken by Uncle Edgar when on the RMS Mauretania. I have sent some images to the New York Port Authority which generated some interest.
The one of the Battery is when it was an Aquarium. Now the roof has been removed.
The Bear Mountain Bridge images were used last year for their display commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Bridge Opening.
The one showing Grant’s Memorial on a bluff was of interest as it is now virtually surrounded by trees.
